Cahaba Heights Baptist Church

Rooted Faith in a Modern Neighborhood

We are a traditional Southern Baptist Church in the historic Cahaba Heights neighborhood in Vestavia.

OUR LEADERSHIP

Pastoral Care and Study

Pastor Chris Malone leads us in Sunday School and Worship. He takes us through the books of the Bible in an expository fashion, meaning we examine the Scripture's original context and read it for its primary idea/purpose.

Brother Chris Malone

Chris is currently studying at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary to broaden his understanding of and ability to apply Scripture in counseling situations. He has over 60 credit hours in Biblical Content and Expository Preaching.

Laurie Mattox

Pianist, Hospitality Coordinator

A ministry wife for several decades, now Laurie leads us in worship on Sunday mornings as well as leading our GriefShare support groups.

Barbara Duke

Worship Leader, GriefShare Leader

Barbara has a rich history in Cahaba Heights and loves to serve others with Christ's love.

Jeanie Malone

OUR COVENANT

A Disciplined, Communal Life

We actively resist the fragmented, high-production pace of modern life. Instead, we anchor our parish in historic reformed confessions, structured biblical study, and the quiet liturgy of daily life together around neighborhood tables.
