Tools for Thoughtful Study
We believe in equipping every member of our church with the skills to read, understand, and apply God's Word with intellectual honesty.
How We Study
Rather than seeking quick emotional highs, we cultivate a disciplined, historical-grammatical approach to the scriptures. This method honors the original context, literary genre, and historical setting of each text.
Historical Context
Grammatical Care
Covenantal Unity
Examine the cultural, political, and historical background of the biblical authors to understand their original intent.
Analyze sentence structure, key Greek and Hebrew terms, and literary genres to ground your interpretation in the actual text.
Trace the grand narrative of scripture, seeing how individual books connect to the historic confessions and the person of Christ.
Recommended Libraries
We all want to know God and His Word better. We don’t want misconceptions about Truth. Thankfully, God not only gives us the desire to study, but He also gives us other people and resources to help us grow in our knowledge and understanding of Him and His Word.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT)
